C30 MkII '89 Cockpit Drain Hoses Replaced

We just purchased a 1989 C30 Mk II and the surveyor noted that the cockpit drain hoses were in need of replacing. Can anyone please tell me what the diameter is of those hose(s) is?

Will try to remember to check mine this weekend, but your best bet is to just measure yourself to make sure you get the right ones. Are you talking about the scuppers or the drain for the steering box?

Thanks for the reply, it would be the 2 drains located on either side of where the emergency tiller inserts at the rear of the cockpit and behind the pedestal.

I would agree it would be best to pull them and measure myself. It's on my punch list to do tomorrow morning before it get hot and humid. Wish we would catch a breather on the heat and humidity.

I'll post what I measure on mine and what I ended up doing.

Thanks,

Glenn

Yikes!

That's what I call a bad hose . The other one looked just as bad. Definitely an accident looking to happen. Replaced them both with Gates flex hose $17 each.

Just think about all the water you just kept out of your bilge! (-:

What diameter did yours end up being?

This winter I'll be replacing the plastic thru-hull for the steering box on mine, all the hoses to the stern are in good shape, but that one thru-hull has spidery little cracks around it.

The counter guy at O'Reilly's just led me to their hoses and we eye balled it on the diameter and length needed.

This method is not to be sneezed at, the eyeball is the best instrument in any toolkit.
