I've been doing considerable reading of owner reviews, and looking at and sailing of boats in the 25-28 foot range. For a variety of reasons, I think an '86 or later C25 most closely meets my needs. Except ... I really don't like mainsails that sheet to the transom. When off the wind, they get in my hair, literally. Have any of you created some other sheeting solution? Tom Monroe

There are trade-offs

There are some definite advantages to the original transom sheeting which is easily in reach of the helm. Cabin top (aka mid-boom) sheeting is out of the way but also out of reach and much slower due to the increased purchase (and therefore longer sheet) needed to deal with the reduced leverage of mid-boom sheeting.
