Jim:The surveyor is probably just trying to cover-his-ass, BUT figure out what you think it is going to take.1. Pump for holding tank $50-150 depending on macerator or manual pump.2. Y-valve $40-50.3. Waste Hose @ $8-10/ft (15 ft =$150)but you may need a lot more. Head to tank, tank to overboard, tank to deck fitting.4. Labor @ $65/hr. (10 hrs = $650)Clamps, deck fitting, misc fittings, vented loop, vent and hose. You may be lucky to get off for $1000. My experience with boat yards is these guys don't work too fast and they charge you for all their mistakes one way or another (sort of like a doctor). Get a quote and them guarantee the quote. Do yourself a favor and get a new head while you are at it. Be sure that existing holding tank is in good condition. (new head $200, new tank $150).WOW I think this is going to be closer to 1.5 boat units.
