The 5411 deisel I bought to replace a spent Atomic 4 sits almost 3" above the moulded bench area upon which the cusions lay. I anticipated an adjustment of up to 1.5" higher than the original flatheaded 'bomb, but it seems that for my make of boat that the shaft angles were not standardized and I ended up with one of the problem cases. I don't want to have a stepped down bench solution, nor do I want to hollow out the underside of the cusion that deeply. Has anyone ever heard of using a c.v. joint on the end of the prop. shaft to adjust the angle of the engine to remedy this kind of situation?Marc
