Hi,
I have a 1984 C&C Landfall 43. The bilge pump is bad and I need to replace it. Any help as to where it is located? The only access to the bilge that I know of is under the gangway via a 2 foot by 2 foot opening that is very deep. I have seen the float switch located at the bottom, but not the bilge pump. Does anyone know where it is located and how I get to it? Thanks in advance. I'm a little stymied here. This is my first full/modified full keel boat so maybe there is some extra work involved to get to the open bilge. It seems everything under the floor is molded fiberglass. Thanks!

I know about deep bilges and access. Not on your boat, but on mine.

I followed the wires to locate my bilge pump. There should be a wire from the switch to the pump. That would be my first attempted path. My second would be from the DC panel to the pump.. Only way the pump gets power. Along the way you might discover electrical corrosion. This could cause the symptom you mention... "The bilge pump is bad".

Congrats on your boat. Nice boat.
