At some point the pole topping lift got pulled all the way down on my 44 and I just though ok, later. Later turned out to be a year as the mast was pulled disassembled and painted. I’ve got it all back together but can’t figure out how the pole topping lift runs. There are no more exit slots after both jib halyards and spin halyard are run and I don’t see any place where an external block was attached at the usual spot just below the upper spreader. There is a fitting on the mast where it looks like a baby stay was attached but the previous owner rigged a staysail and so the baby stay is gone. Or is that some sort of block attachment I have misplaced?
