Hi Folks

I am new to the list. In the maintenance manual on the AVA site, in the electrolysis section, Willis Alexander mentions a C-7 clamp. Can anyone tell me what a C-7 clamp is? Thanks...

Could it be this?

Hi Peter

Thanks for checking the internet. I quickly did that before I posted my message. The C-7 clamp that Alexander referred to is used to hold on a zinc anode, so I do not think a volt meter would work :) Thanks for bothering to look and respond though.

Hi Folks

Just for information, a sales rep for marine supplies told me, in the US at least, C-7 is a size designation for zinc anodes. C is limited clearance and 7 is a 1-1/2 inch ID on the anode. In looking at images of the cutlass bearing area there does seem to be enough room to attach such a beast. If anyone has any info that it will not work please let me know.

Have a great weekend.....
