C-36 Where is the tranny dipstick!!??

I've looked everywhere in the literature and poked throught the rear of the boat (1983 vintage) and can't find the dipstick or fill spots for my transmission. I've not put many hours on the drivetrain but need to know. Yes S. Dion I know it should have been checked long before now. Please - no lectures.

My 36 is a later model but the dip stick and fill cap are on the port side on the top of the transmission. It's easier to see mine from the aft cabin access. Good luck.

C36 Tranny Dipstick

Dave - the fill and dipstick should be on the port side top... it looks like a nut that you could use a cresent or socket on. There's not finger-loop like the engine oil dipstick. I think my owners manual says to check the level with the dipstick in the hole but not screwed down. Russ S/V Four Sail C36, #206 Kemah, TX
