Have been unable to drain shower sump no matter what I do!!This is driving me nuts... Drains work great in both sinks in Galley and head. Cannot find any obstructions in drain line neither. I dont have owners manual. Is there a trick to this? When heeled small amount of water will wet floor in head making for slick footing!

On my boat (#96) there really is no sump,

the drain line goes to the bilge using small diameter black rubber hose with couple places it can kink or be squeezed. Assume you must have partial blockage or a high spot in this line not allowing to drain completely. Check the bilge for the hose coming from the head floor. The floor drain is in the forward, interior corner of the head, try pouring some hot water in the drain and watching to see how good it flows into the bilge from the hose.

In my C320 the shower sump pump pumps the water down thru a thru hull rather than up and overboard like a bilge pump. When I first tried my shower pump it did not work...because I thought the water was going overboard and not down thru the hull. When I opened the thru hull it worked fine.

i periodically bring the hose below for "water day". i flood the bilge several times and pump to clean it. i also shoot the sink drains and shower drains. a lot of the problem with drains is dust and hair that clog up. it is also a good idea to shoot the cockpit drains too. it can be messy, so wrap a towel around the nozzle before you pull the trigger.
