I am looking to replace the Depth Gauge in our 1985 C27. After reading some posts from the archives, I think I like the idea of mounting the transducer inside the hull. At least one can remove it to do some testing when there is a problem.I would like to know which brands you have had success with. It looks like a lot of folks are happy with the NAVMAN instruments, but I am sure others work just as well.My current installation is a Datamarine Corinthian. It uses a 200 KHZ transducer, I believe the electronics are bad, not the transducer.Since there are no leaks around the current installatin, I will just leave the old transducer in place. So where did you mount your transducer? How did you mount it and are you happy with the results?Barnegat bay depth is shallow so I do not need to know if I am in 200ft of H2O.Thanks,Bill
