Ok. Here goes. Always wanted to sail, so I took a recommended course (ASA 101 cert.) and got a good deal on a Catalina 22. Love the boat (...sorry; motored only, so far...) even though work continues on the "little things". Here's the problem; I learned on a Capri 22 with different rigging. I.E.-- it had a single back stay (with the normal boom lift) and the traveller mounted across the middle of the cockpit. I know that some things are missing (a couple of blocks, the boom vang, etc...) on my C-22, but not enough that I can't rig a decent set-up to trim the sails and accomplish what needs be. My problem is, I want to do this "proper" and have the rigging either at or as close to factory specs as able. Does anyone have some detailed pics of the backstay/ traveller area of a C-22 (circa 1986) or can anyone suggest a site with specific information on this subject? Help me out folks. I don't want to be the "rat" boat with clothes line for halyards....
