I am a single-handed sailor, and it is very difficult to change to a smaller headsail if the wind comes up. The solution, unless anyone can tell me why not, is to go with a furling headsail. I need to replace both jibs due to their age, and therefore the furling rig makes sense at this time. Harken makes one that is several hundred bucks more than the lesser priced one in the Catalina Direct book. Is the brand worth the extra bucks? Also, in order to maintain decent sail shape when partially furled, the 130% genoa is recommended. Will I notice a significant speed reduction over my old 150% that I use on calmer days? Those of you who have made the modification to the furler system, please advise!!Thanks, David
