I have a 1973 C-22.It came with a split backstay.There is a block and tackle set up that is hooked to the same starboard eyebolt that the backstay is attached to .If I pull this tight naturally the port pulley starts to get tight before the starboard.It seems that the backstay adjuster should be tensioned from the center .This would interfere with the tiller in addition to not having anyplace to mount it.How could someone have sailed this boat for 30 years with this setup? Picture are a huge plus.I think I have all the equipment just not sure how to run it .Thanks
