Will be taking my bride of 25 years on a charter to the BVIs in May. Looking for some ideas to renew our vows. Nothing elaborate just a real pretty location overlooking the seas. Possible sunset cermony might be fantastic. Any ideas and some contacts in the BVI's that could assist would be a great help. Thanks

Land or sea?

David Depends on where you want to do it. If onboard, it could be anywhere. We love Cooper Island Beach Club. Cane Garden Bay has many choices for land activities (i.e., bars...)!!! Congratulations, have a great time. Stu

David, My brother is a wedding Photographer.

He won first place in a national photographers contest last year. People have sent him to Maine, and some of the islands. He shot Plexico's wedding down there. He is on his 30 Catalina right now in Fla. and is getting married himself the first week of march. He is getting married in Nassau. His link is below. I am sure he would have some good ideas for you. Edited : He has changed his site since the last I veiwed it. Plex's wedding is on the site and so is the award winning shot. His Bio explains it better than I have.

Yost Van Dyke

There's the most beautiful beach I've ever seen at Yost Van Dyke (BVI's). It's the smallest island and the beach is in a cove and has becaome famous since that's where Kenny Chesney tied the knot with his now-ex, Renee Zelinger. I didn't know that when I saw the beach but fell in love with it and have been back twice. You can get info on the BVI website - the beach has only one commercial place - Ivan's beach bar - which is very rustic and has camping in the back but these sites can't be seen from the beach. The water is clear, blue and shallow for a distance. Small boats will anchor in the cove but it's never too crowded. The big ships need to staay out a ways and take a small craft in to shore. No docks or marinas here - pure nature and beauty! It woould be a lovely place to renew vows if you want it casual and beachy! Good Luck. Fran

Got married on the boat...

We got married on a crewed sail boat about 3 years ago. We were on a 53FT Oyster...fantastic!!! The crew decorated the boat with flowers and made a special wedding dinner for us. We got married in Christmas cove at St Johns Island at sunset. Beautiful. I had arranged with a local wedding service to supply a preacher. After a great serimony and dinner, we spent the next 10 days sailing the BVI. Life is good! Contact Paradise Connections. They are the brokers we used. I was very satisfied.

Second on Long Bay

We loved Long bay. They can plan it all from quiet and private to more elaborate. Find their link on any of the BVI websites. Enjoy and congratulations. Bob S/V Kathryn 2, Stamford, Ct
