Dive / Snorkel Guide

FourPoints...thanks for the link to the dive/snorkel guide. I looked at the website. It looks as if it is more focused on diving. Is there a lot of information on snorkeling? We do not dive but love to snorkel. I fell in love with snorkeling in the San Blas Islands. When I went to St Kitts last year I was dissapointed as I kept comparing to San Blas.

I went to the BVI last March and spend 16 days sailing from Tortola to St. Lucia stopping in every nice island on my boat. I would like to repeat it again... I got the 2011 crusing guide of Crist Doyle I think, very nice. Any one going this season so we can make a sailing team.?

I went sailing last march in the caribean, from Tortola to St. Lucia in my boat. I spend 16 day sailing, stopping in some very nice island. I used the Crist Doyle crusing guide, it is very easy to used and complete with all information. I would like to repeat it again this season. Any good also going so we can make a good sailing team.?

Well, you missed your chance. And, by the way, we were expecting you to drink ALL the rum:dance:

Ah Ron, you know I would have signed up with you if the bank account was a little healthier:cry:

The picture below was taken on my last trip there in March of 2009. I was at the Bitter End Yacht Club. Leverick Bay is in the background I think.

It is definitely geared towards diving, but it covers all the dive and worthwhile snorkeling sites in the BVI. Many sites have shallow areas that are good snorkeling, while the deeper areas next to them are good for diving, and therefore both get listed. A quick look in the book and I counted 14 out of the 77 sites listed are indicated as good for snorkeling.

At the RMS Rhone, it's not uncommon to have snorkelers on the surface checking things out, and divers below them. It's a blast to see the look on the face of the resort course divers diving for the first time there in ~45 ft, when I swim down and look them in the eye, snorkeling (to be clear, I do also dive) :)
