How much is their system worth ?

If you're comfortable with electrical components and wiring, you can install the whole thing inexpensively from auto components which are the SAME components sold in marine stores and pretty sure the same for CD. Depends on how fancy you want to make it. Single audible alarm and visible lights, one for temp. and one for pressure.

I can not imagine an alarm cost of that much. I looked CD online and saw a small plastic horn offered I guessed $20 max and that is inflated. Post a link. You have my interest.

A 10” iPad with 64 Gig can be bought for $329 at Best Buy. You can see movies on that plus sound.

Brad, that kit includes a new thermostat housing which is most of the cost.
Worth taking a look at your thermostat housing. My M25-XP has an unused port. All I needed was to remove the plug and install a temp switch. Then run a wire to behind the alarm panel and install the two tone alarm.
If yours does not have the port, I've heard of people who very carefully have drill and tapped a port for the sender switch. Note: the gauge uses a temp sensor. You need a temp switch to sound an alarm.

I went with the CD two tone alarm from CD but probably could have gotten one cheaper from other sources.
I like the two tone alarm as the steady tone is the same as the current low oil alarm.
The intermittent tone is connected to the temp switch. This way I know immediately whether it is over temp or low oil pressure.

I couldn't and still cannot find the high temp alarm switch on CDs site but they show it with the full kit so I called and was to order it by itself and also ordered the buzzer.

High Temperature Alarm Switch (#Z2752): 1
Item Total: $47.10

Alarm Module Dual Tone Engine Panel (#Z4180): 1
Item Total: $28.00

Hope this helps.

Here's a photo of the location of the temp switch on the thermostat housing. The yellow w/strip wire runs to it.

Use @dmax 's Dual Alarm Combo and you 've got a Cadillac alarm system.

The new temp and press sensors are about $20.00 ea. Unfortunately, as @Ward H points out, you may require the new, fancy, $expensive$ thermostat housing to mount the temp. switch.

You will have to confirm exactly HOW you will mount the press and temp switches before you can determine if you can go with the cheaper (but every bit as good) installation.

@dmax Is the Cole Hersee Dual Alarm a two tone alarm or alarm and LED? From the description it sounds to like they are using "Dual Alarm" to describe the buzzer and LED, not a two tone buzzer?

@Ralph Johnstone That's what I saw. Looks like one contact for ground and one for positive. You'd need two to cover both oil pressure and high temp.

In most cases a 12 volt relay can be used that is energize by the temp or pressure switch, and it's contacts can turn on a horn or car alarm type horn that is placed inside the cabin with 110dB sound level.

It says it is dual alarm but I only use it for the oil pressure, my temperature alarm is completely separate. There're just two connections, positive and negative like you say. I think some marketer wrote up that description.
