Buzzard food

I've had my vega up on the hard for about a month. I have stripped the
bottom and sanded the sides and topsides as well. I painted the hull
white and the bottom copper red. I also painted a burgandy accent strip
in the grove that had been blue up near the top of the hull to match
burgundy sail cover and other canvas. Looks pretty good. About six am.
this morning I woke up with the hatch boards out and the main hatch wide
open to a startling site. I came out of the bunk like I was shot out of
a cannon. A buzzard had landed on the stern pulpit or push rail if thats
what you call it. He was sitting all hunched over looking at me. Well
we sacred the hell out of each other. I guess he was wondering if I was
dead. Shore gave me a hell of a shock!!!

Umm Doug, I think buzzards find food by the smell. When was the last time you took a shower?

That had to be an odd experience.

So, what can be lerned from this story. Dont make your vega to good looking, it might destroy your sleeping.
