onlineoutboards.com

Got our 6hp 4 stroke Nissan from onlineoutboards.com in Cookesville Tn. We got the ultralong shaft and it came with 5 amp charging system included. Great price, 3 day delivery, and they were available by phone or email to answer our questions as they occurred to us. We are extremely happy with both the product and the company. Would do it again in a heartbeat. As far as repairs.....well.....you know how that tends to go... Do it yourself or wait and pay. :)

Local dealer

As an afterthought....Our local dealer took a week to respond to a request for a price quote on the motor we bought online. Ten minute lag between our first email to outlineoutboards.com and their reply....If you snooze, you LOSE!!!!

Final Outcome--I Bought Local

Hi all: Just thought I'd share my final outcome on my quest for a new outboard for my Hunter 26. After wrestling with the pros & cons of buying online vs. local, I initially decided to buy online. The local dealers just couldn't come close to the $2000 online price for a Nissan 9.8. I made one last call to a local dealer in a neighboring town. I told him about my delima and my best online price. He then told me that he had a brand new (zero hours) 2003 Honda 9.9 HP, electric start with X-long shaft in stock that was a "left over" from previous years' stock. He said an X-long shaft was ordered in error in 2003 and nobody had been interested in buying a X-long shaft in over 3 years until I came along. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Less than $2000 and a new engine 3-year factory warranty. Thank you all for sharing your thoughts.
