I currently have a 94 Hunter Legend 35.5 and am moving up to a New Passage 450 next spring. I am trying to anticipate the cost involved in the base boat difference. Everyone keeps stressing to wait until the Annapolis Boat Show to purchase due to discounts available. Does anyone know of base prices (boat show prices) for this model and what may be allowed as a trade in on my current boat that is in excellent condition? Any advice is most appreciated!

There's no telling

Typically, you wpon't know until (a) you get there, or (2) you're told by one of the salespeople who works at a dealership that will be exhibiting at the show. From what I've seen, the base prices will hold pretty steady but the boat show deals might get you some free gear, like a genset, AC, furling, canvas, etc. I don't know enough about how those spiffs are financed to understand if that will effect your trade-in leverage.

Good advice

Phil's advice is probably pretty close to the mark. I would add that you can aways negotiate on price or for additional equipment. Who knows they might agree. We went for gear. It turned out to be the correct decision. We only had to install a radar and between yard time, selecting the gear getting it installed, checked, removed, repaired, reinstalled, rechecked and finally working turned out to be more hassle and expensive than it would have if we had added it at the beginning.
