Boat looks pretty good. I'm a big fan of the black hull. Trailer looks like its in great shape. I'm sure you'll have a punch list and a lot of projects on the boat, but it looks like you'll be able to enjoy sailing while you upgrade/maintain the boat. What year did you end up purchasing?

She's a beauty! Hope you can join in on the North Gulf Coast Cruise coming up in May. If not, we'll be in the area for a month after the NGCC and will be joining in on the B.E.E.R. cruise from Pensacola.

Hope to see you on the water,

Don

Hey OP, I named my first boat Spartan. Sparta would be a good name as well. Just thought I would throw that out there for you Spartacus99. I refuse to name my Catalina 22. I don't believe she has ever had a name by the looks of the stern. I believe boats under 25 feet don't deserve a name until earned with an epic voyage. I will be sure to name her if I ever sail her to Cabo San Lucas and into the Sea of Cortez.

I like that! I won't name her until I have an epic cruise on her. It's good because I plan to sail across the Atlantic in June with her. I figure that will be enough time for me to learn to sail.

Wow, what a great looking boat! Congratulations!
If you're planning on sailing it across the Atlantic, you're braver than I am. The C22 isn't generally regarded as a blue water boat, but excels as a trailerable boat. Nevertheless, whatever your plans, just be safe and have fun!

I was just kidding btw. someday but not soon and not with a cat22...unless I reinforce her with carbon fiber... water tanks, fuel tank, new mast, autopilot, new swing keel, ....yup. it will be a while.
