Tonight at skipper's night (Woodfire Grill, Everett Marina) I got one interested skipper to rendezvous at Butchart Cove around mid day April 12th or 13th. If you've never been there it is at the bottom of Saanich Bay, just outside of Todd Inlet. It will take us two days to get there from Semiahmoo, three for our skipper friend from Port Gardner. Of course he bailed the last time, three weeks ago. Weather permitting, we plan on hooking up to one the four mooring bouys and then tour the Gardens, a special treat. The moorings are maybe 50 yards from the dock at the bottom of Japanese Gardens, which requires a dink. It is okay to raft and they do have stern ties, which come in handy. Maybe we will see some interested parties there. Our skipper friend is a live aboard on a Freedom 32. Rambo, his first mate, will probably be in cat heaven by then. John plans on putting him down in the next day or so due to old age. Terry
