Bushing for C22 Keel

I am in the process of working on my keel. I ordered a bushing from CD. When I received it yesterday the pin would not fit through the bushing. Is this normal? Do I have to sand down the pin? Shouldn't the pin move freely in the bushing? Thanks Greg

The pin should fit!

The keel pin should fit into the keel bushing. I don't know what clearance Catalina builds into the assembly as I made my own pin. How much interference are we talking about here? Could there be a burr on the pin? Can you measure the pin & bush with a vernier?

Pin finally fits

A little sanding and the pin fits and moves freely. Thanks Greg
