Suggest u drain it ...

1. Run the fawcetts (taps) to drain the tank, and prevent water flood dammage. 2. Remove & Replace the tank.

Did it break at a seam?

Mine wasn't leaking yet but the welds were very corroded. The dreaded bleach controversy again - I suspect. When you get it out, I would like to see it if you have pictures. I could come up and visit instead. We could share some war stories over a beer if you like. I haven't finished the new tank in my boat. I decided to just make a fiberglass one. I moved it forward into the bow and thereby reclaimed enough room to put in three drawers measuring 24 inches deep by 32 inches wide and 6 inches deep. I figure they are worth two boat units each. There is some additional space on either side of the drawers also available. Not sure what I will do with that yet. The pump and filter will be going under the drawers and that should make it a lot quieter when I run the water at 0400. The whole water system in my boat was a rather shoddy mess anyway. Haven't gotten to the holding tank yet - Have you? That is what might be a much nastier problem for you if you haven't done it yet.
