When looking at the bulkhead bonding, fwd port side salon, there is no tabing bonding the bulkhead to the hull on the sink side of the bulkhead. Is it normal only to bond one side of thr bulkhead to the hull.????

What Tabing

I don't see any tabing on my H36. Just a Hull Liner with Molded in 'features' that the Bulkheads are 'Fastened' to. Fasteners are well hidden too, behind Bungs. Does your H37c have a Hull Liner in it? My 1981 H36 has an Early Version of a Hull Liner in it and it is heavily built and appears to offer significant Structural Support to the 'Outer' Hull Skin. Hull Liner Technology has matured and is a very common way to build Mass Production Sailboats. Seems to work well. Older production Sailboats, 1970's era, Islander in particular, Tabbed the Interior Furniture, Cabinets and Related Structures to the Outer Hull Skin. Look close enough in the corners where these structures meet the Hull and you will find Fiberglass Taped Tabbing. Thats what I call Tabbing. Anyway, Hulls with Liners Glued into them, I don't see a lot of Tabbing. I'll be really supprised If I every find any. Oh, By the way, I love my Liner. Gives a very strong structure to support the interior furnishings.

A little Tab- will it do

That's exactly where the tabing is or I would expect it to be there. The way the cabinets, bulkhead, etc are bonded to the hull is by fiberglass bonding to the outer hull ( tabing ). What I am curious about is why the tabing is not continuous for the full length of the piece being bonded to the hull. In my case for example, on a H37c 1980 model the bulkhead is only tabed at certain places, Not the entire length, this is also noticeable at other points where the furniture is bonded to the hull. I would have thought that for structural integrity it should be bonded the whole length. Anyone else have a similar tabing arrangement.
