now that would be nice!

I think I am leaning toward the primer and enamel with a couple light coats of a matte finish poly over the top. The galley will get the same treatment as that appears to be covered with the same faux wood finish...

We will give her a little touch of "Herreschoff" :)

Chris,

Do you think that porch and floor paint would work on a steel trailer? If it was properly primed of course?

I think a good sanding priming and spray paint would be the way to go with that. spray on primer as well. I have had good luck with that in the past. I used a product called Hammerite or something like that on my motorcycle tank and it came out great. It bonds with the rust and metal...so if you don't get everything down to the bare steel (which is a pain in the neck) it doesn't really matter. the rust never returned. In fact, you can paint right over the rust with this stuff...no sanding or steel wool prep required. It is expensive but what is your time worth :)

Scurvy, I truly have never considered painting a trailer with it. And I have no clue. I will recommend something generally if I KNOW it will work, but without actually trying it, again, dunno man.
But, I don't think I would do it. To many metal paints out there that are perfectly suitable for the job, and just guessing again, this doesn't strike me as a decent choice.

The one time I painted a trailer, (if you can call it that), I used a cold galvanizing spray paint. I have actually used this stuff on several occasions in the steel business, with very good results. And if I had to do it again, I think that I would be inclined to use the same stuff.
