Hello , need help locating a color source for the tan deck color on 28 ft O'Day.
It is a 79, and them topside color is hard to find. Years ago I think it was called buff. Please see pictures. Thanks

Paint, my favorite topic.
Although you did not ask for it, I can't resist in offering some advise.

You must be careful painting a portion of your non-skid even if you find the "Buff" you are looking for. It will not match the faded buff that was applied back in 79. You will need to repaint all of the non-skid so it matches and fades equally going forward. I believe your non-skid "buff" color is molded in so it is gelcoat. It's going to act and look much differently than any paint you find that matches.
Keep in mind that you want dead flat gloss or paint with texture (grip) added. Request a color guide from one of the big suppliers. They will send them out quickly. You should be able to find something close to your BUFF

Professionals match gelcoat colors by adding colorants until they get it right, which is not rocket science, but takes a nack. Buff, as you call it, actually is easier to match than some other gelcoat colors. If the manufacturer were still around, you could get it from them, but since O'Boy is out of business you have to perhaps start with white gelcoat and add colorants to obtain the color you want. There are some beige gelcoats offered through some better marine stores. For example, I won't stock them as they would go bad before I sold them all, but I would bring it in for a customer if they wanted it.
