The cockpit has a crack in the nonskid deck. It's about 3 inches long. I just noticed a bubble about 10sq. inches. When I compress the bubble, water comes out. Has anyone experienced this before, and what is the best way to repair it? Thanks,' Rich Castle

My thoughts/advice . . .

If you mean the floor of the cockpit when you say "non-skid" deck, then it is probably delamination. there is a lamination of plywood and fiberglass on the cockpit floor. My advise is to drill two small holes in the effected area and suck the moisture out with a wet vac. Allow it to dry and then inject a penetrating epoxy into one of the holes. the other hole will allow air to escape. Then apply something realy heavy to the area so that it is pressed down flat. allow to cure over night and touch up the area with a little gelcoat to match the surrounding area. Good luck Regards, Ted
