brown jello in bottom of fuel tank

help, last weekend i devloped a fuel delivery problem on my hunter 31, found a brown jello like stuff in bottom of diesel tank after draining. short of removing the tank is there any way to disolve this stuff??? any help is greatly appricated

Polish Fuel

Look in the phone book for a company that will "polish" your fuel. It will be filtered clean and they will clean the tank at the same time.

Clean it yourself

I had a similar problem, and the "polishing' folks wanted $300. So I pumped out the tank into jerry cans, cut a hole in the top of the tank and installed a 4 inch inspection plate. Then I used oil absorbing cloth (cheap) and wiped and cleaned until the fuel tank was spotless. Never had a problem since; that was three years ago. Use a biocide with every fill up afterward
