bronze to stainless connection

I was quite surprised recently to find where the waterline is in the plumbing of my centerline galley sink. It is well up into the PVC fittings under the sink. So I want to rip out household fittings of PVC and replace with more reliable, solid fittings.
I could install a bronze fitting to the underside of the sink that connects to a hose barb which would have a hose down to the thru hull. Will I have issues with corrosion between the bronze and the SS galley sink? Boat is in salt water.

Why not make the sink to valve connection with 'armored' rubber hose - suitable/rated for below the waterline usage?
You might need a new sink 'tail piece' that is compatible with the ID of the hose, to avoid a 'concoction of superfluous hose adapters'.
Armored marine hose would be compliant to ABYC 'specs.'

I can't help but wonder why you think the present settup would fail. Perhaps someone might have heard of such a failure? I think you're worried about nothing. Or just go with available marine fittings.

I guess I didn't describe this very well. Basically I am doing that. The seacock is about 18" below the pvc sink contraption and it is connected by good hose. I want to eliminate the pvc contraption and go direct from the sink to the seacock with hose. i need a hose barb under the sink. That hose barb will be sitting in salt water.

I had to re-read your post to understand what you meant. You're saying the sink sits so low in your boat that the PVC fittings on the bottom of the sink are at the boat's waterline, correct?

Just want to be clear. I'm afraid I don't have info regarding submerged bronze/stainless corrosion. Have you been unable to find a stainless barb fitting? Is there possibly a marlon fitting that would work?

Maybe, in the sink, a mushroom-type regular thru-hull fitting of either marlon or ?

Maybe I dont fully understand your proposed configuration.
However, for corrosion protection of immersed/wetted mixed alloys in any such application ... protection can be affected by simply running 'an electrical connection' or independent electrical bonding circuit from the sink et al to any external zinc anode (in seawater, magnesium anode in freshwater) .... an electrical connection from the sink hardware to any present anode that is fastened to the hull, etc. will do.

I didn't think we were allowed a direct dump of grey water except at sea. On the other hand it sounds like you are trying to take out the check valve from beneath the sink and if so probably not a good idea. Just a inland sailor without plumbing my self so far but looking to get insight for the next three feet.

Grey water from sinks is not restricted with the exception of lakes and a few areas on the coast. Black water is 3 miles out on the coasts in the US.
