I am having a problem finding a hose adapter. I have to go from a 3/4 inch hose to a 1 inch hose. This hose carries the hot seawater from my heat exchanger to the exhaust elbow. I can't seem to find a source for bronze reducing male barbed adapters.

Any ideas?

What are the actual tapping sizes on each end? Does the HX have a brazed in place hose barb or a tapping? The Groco FF-750 is 3/4" NPT male pipe to 1" ID Hose..

I was just buying some 3/4 NPT X 3/4 hose bards and perko and groco had what they called full-flow ones that were 3/4 NPT X 1 hose so you could build one or change the fitting

They were a bit rare but i did see them on my search
3/4IN NPTX1IN ID HOSE BARB

FULL FLOW PIPE TO HOSE ADAPTERS
Used for connecting hose to valve, seacocks, strainers or any hardware having female NPT pipe threads. FF fittings are designed to accommodate the designed full pipe size flow and to provide an unrestricted passage through the fitting. If a 3/4" fitting is to provide full flow through the fitting, and also have a safe wall thickness, the fitting OD must be larger than 3/4". Therefore, a hose ID larger than the pipe size is required. Fittings are cast bronze. A hex nut is cast-in to allow for secure tightening.
Hose:1"

The heat exchanger has a complex rubber boot that a copper pipe clamps into. The pipe runs parallel to the block running fore and aft on the starboard side of the engine. A 1" hose then connects to the pipe and was jury rigged to a 3/4 inch hose. Amazing what you find when you tear into things!

I had trouble last night finding it in Mcmaster's catalogue. I found in the west catalogue a reducing coupling 1" to 3/4 NPT. Then I can add the appropriate full flow hose barbs to the coupling.

As in my post above the Groco FF-750 is a bronze adapter with 3/4" threads and 1" hose..

Phil has them here in the chandlery: http://shop.sailboatowners.com/prod.php?15702

It shows out of stock but give Dave a call on Monday...
