Any suggestions? I just sent off to Forespar and asked them for a quote for a replacement for the inner (of the three) tubes that make up my Forespar ADJ 7-15 Whisker Pole...probably upwards of $125 plus shipment from CA. Seems that with a 6' section of (I think it's) 6063-T6 aluminum tubing, 1-3/4 in. OD, thkn (?) 0.065 in. for about $7-8/lf I could repair it a lot cheaper than going to the manufacturer. BUT...can't find anyone selling this particular alloy (6063-T6, though lots of 6061) in this particular size (1-3/4 is not common size) for a single small piece (6 feet) to support a consumer like me. Any suggestions out there? (BTW, it didn't break in use. It worked well attached to the mast padeye and fixed to the bow pulpit holding up the front tarp I covered the boat with while on the hard this winter...well, truth be told it worked well in the rain...but not so well in the 3 foot snowstorm we got in the DC area this winter. My bad. ) Thnx for the attention.

I cannot believe you would ever notice the difference between these two materials as long as it is not annealed grade '0'.
6061 is also used on boats so its corrosion resistance is satis.

Search Ebay. There are a a number of companies sellling single lengths of material and you just might get lucky. I was looking for a tube to slip into another. $50 from one source. $14 shipped off ebay. PC is scewing up. Must be short winded.
