We had a great weekend on the water, but one of the boats in our fleet broke a spreader. What can we do? The part that broke was the plastic part that connect to the shroud. I am thinking of having him fix (replace) both, and go withe the rigid connectors thata go on the mast. Any help to fix this quick. He is heading out Thursday or Friday to SF Bay. Thanks,

Better site for a quick answer

You might try this web site to get an answer quicker. Is very active MacGregor site. http://macgregorsailors.com/

Dwyer mast,

has spreaders with the tip, or you could make one with a dowel and a couple of screws. I repaired mine and the tip is just a plug with an endcap. Tim

Try MacGregor

Try MacGregor down in Costa Mesa or Blue Water Yachts in Seattle. I believe they still use the same spreaders and caps.

Different Website

The website Blue Water Yachts probably has your part. The website that MSN=Travelers refers to is mainly about X's and M's and has no vendors attached to the site like this one has on the right. This is my opinion only, because I have posted and read on that site, and I find that this site has a broader range of sailors and better sources of info. It is not a bad website, but it is not as good as this one.... A typical day on this site has many posts and if you look at the number of times a post is read, you can infer how much coverage of the Macgregor data base is covered here. The linked website has nowhere near the Macgregor owner participants. YMMV
