Hello, One of the stanchions on my O'Day 23 has broken where it comes out of the fitting bolted to the deck. It is 7/8 polished aluminum and I have not been able to find of this material for sale. Any tips? Thank you. Dave Cobb.

David, A good marine metal fabrication shop could Heli-ark that stanchion, or make make up a new pipe to fit the base of that broken stanchion. They have those pipes in stock. It's worth a shot. My son welded two stainless steel 1" pipe together for my Gin Pole, and I couldn't tell where the weld was. Joe
