Hi, I had my mast snap in half in a blow at the weekend.Any comments on getting it welded and strenghtened or good contacts for a suppiers of new masts who ship world wide. Thanks
Try US Sparsusspars.comI demasted my boat last year and had to wait quite a while because of the backlog due to Ivan and Katrina storms. The first mast arrived damaged (transporation company fault) - the whole thing took over 3 months but I'm satisfied with the service from US Spars then and since.More on the demasting at: http://kobernus.com/hunter260/accident/accident.html
Sorry to hear about the mast. Hopefully no one was injured.I too am interested in hearing the details of the event. My gut instinct was the rig was under tensioned (not tuned). Have been guilty of sometimes sailing that way mayself.Fill us in. Inquiring minds want to know.Ron Mehringerh26 Hydro-Therapy
