Hello, I suspect some of you may be on the email forum, specific to Catalina 30s, as that is my boat. My question, however is for anyone with a fiberglass boat. Two years ago, I brought back the hull on my 85 C30 with 1000, 1200 wet sandpaper and rubbing compound and was pleased with the results. The topsides however could not benefit from this though. It is mostly molded in non-skid. It would have been pretty hard to sand in all the little diamond shaped things and the buffer wouldn't do much either. In order to get the dirt off the top, I and past owners have had to use products like softscrub, even with bleach. I know this makes the surface even more pourous, but it is the only way to really get it white. Of course the pourous surface is more prone to getting dirty faster and the process just repeats.I want to seal the topsides. Has anyone had any experience with NU-GLASS or a product like that? Does it really work? Will it repel the dirt and bird poop, so that it can be rinsed off like a new boat? I also race my boat, so the topsides get a fair amount of foot traffic from the foredeck crew handling the spinaker. Does these treatments hold up? Any feedback appreciated.Jim
