Took this route behind Atlantic City during low tide. Chart says the fixed bridge behind the swing bridge was 35ft. The mast on my Seaward is suppose to be 32ft high from the water line. So what do you think ? Did I make it?

Bridges and height of masthead mounted antennae.

When I once offered that, because my mast "was close, but would clear,' it wouldn't be necessary that I wait before next bridge opening, the bridge operator warned that if anything touched the span (including the masthead-mounted radio antenna), a "collision report" would necessarly be written. .... I waited.

I don't think you have a 3' tidal swing

in NJ so I will say that you made it OK.

clearance

Being at low tide increases your clearance. The larger the tidal range the more it increases. Where soundings are based on mean low water (MLW), bridge clearances are based on mean high water (MHW). My worry would be that the chart isn't accurate -- or that you have a windex or VHF antenna on top. I hope you made it, and that is what I will guess.

Shift everything...

...that can be moved to starboard with a short prayer to Clarence, the god of Clearance, hoping the starboard shift earned a few inches. The verdict was?
