Hi gang, FYI the 65' bridge at Webasso FL (just north of M945) has been allowing barely 63' clearance at low tide due to the Lunar Cycle and a persistent Northerly wind. Just scraped through on April 21, 2014 on a delivery with a Catalina 470 - mast height reported as 63'4".

Safe travels!

We went under Jan 14, 2014 with 64'4" scraping the static arrester. The tide board read 63'4" on the southern side. I straightened out the arrester last week.
There was a strong north wind (I believe) forcing water to the bridge.
The last quarter is the 22nd.

Many of the rivers and sounds in south Georgia and north Florida are high right now, at or near flood stage, and will not be near normal for about a week. Caution should be used at all bridges for tall masts. Chuck

Better to post to Cruisers Net and Waterway Guide. They actively send out notices to all subscribers every week with this type of information. Sometimes they will send out extra notices to all subscribers when warranted. Claiborne Young of Cruisers Net is truly an 'Active Captain' proactively helping mariners.
