Brand of GFI used in Huter 29.5

What brand of GFI does the 1995 Hunter 29.5 use.I have a bad GFI outlet. The replacement (purchased at a hardware store) will not work because the wires in the outlet are too short to connect. The wires in the outlet are custom length from factory . I want to buy the exact brand/replacement that will 'fit' the wiring of the outlet box.

Any help as to brand and/or where to purchase would be appreciated.

Brand and model of the gfi unit should be marked on the inside back cover. Some times the manufacture and model are also listed in the build specs if you have them if not try giving Hunter a call.

My suggestion would be to take the old receptacle with you to an elecrical parts store and let one of the clerks look for a match in their catalogues. They have a wide array of suppliers. The boat is 15 years old and Hunter may no longer have the manufacturing specs.

Benny, that is good advise... Hunter did tell me the brand is Leviton, which appears to be the case..... this GFI also controls another outlet....difficult....

problem solved with the GFI. was able to purchase one at a local hardware store, and installed this past week end... works like a charm...the trick was using the same Leviton brand
