What would you all use on brand new teak pieces. They are all extirior pieces suchs as rails, hatch boards, hatch moldings, ect.. Any teak piece that you see on your deck. I am replacing all of mine. A fresh slate to work with what would you all use?

Teak guard

Same answer as always from me. I used from scratch on my 02 and always will. Gives a natural golden tone to the teak, I don't have to worry about slipping on it when wet, easy to redo season to season, cleans up easy, quick to do. It's a no brainer.

Honey Teak....

Honey Teak if you're not walking on it. Probably the longest lasting 'varnish equivalent' (probably the 'glossiest') on the market (but expensive first cost) www.signaturefinish.com If the replacement pieces are not yet installed, I'd encapsulate the entire piece in Honey Teak 'base coat' only, then install. Teak Guard, Semco Natural or Teak Wonder (or mixtures of each) if you walk on it. .... all these will 'wet-out' when the deck is wet, thus you don't lose 'much' foot traction.

Teak Guard

Mike hit it on the head. Teak guard is a no brainer. It is so easy to use it is a joke. Water clean up and it drys in a few minutes. Looks great and you can walk all over it. Try it and you will never use anything else. Dale
