Hi all I am just about finished up with my new holding tank install. @ things, one I used the white sani hose, stuff is a bear to work with. When I first tested with water, 3 fitting were leaking with only the pressure of the toilet pump out of the hoses by the clamps. 2 of them were where I forgot to use the pipe dope, other was clamp. I was using a speed driver to tighten and got em tight, this hose is so stiff I used a socket and ratchet to tighten them. Other is there something I should add chemical wise, do I put it in now, or wait till its first flush. I will be using saltwater for flushing... Thanks Red

Chemical wise pick up some head treatment solution from your local chandlery and follow directions and you should be, so to speak, good to go.

Peggy Hall recommends the use of "KO" for treating the holding tank in her book. Raritan makes "KO" and I swear by it - smells like cherries.
You treat the tank before any waste hits it.

re-check the hoses after some time has passed, in the event that the hose 'takes a set' and the clamps need to be tightened some more.
