I own a 2004 Beneteau 323. It's factory bow roller is too short; this makes deploying and retrieving the anchor difficult (if you are not very careful, the anchor tends to contact the bow stem and surrounding bow surfaces). Has Beneteau offered a solution to this problem (I can't be the first to confront it)? If not, given its size and functions (for example, the forestay also attaches to it), is there an after-market product that can be added to extend the roller a bit (the [outside] width of the existing roller frame is 3 5/8" and most after-market rollers are either smaller or larger than that (the construction of the existing roller makes mounting an extension on its inside more difficult).

Don't know why you criticize the boat. It just has the wrong anchor on it. My 323 has a 35 CQR. OEM was probably a Delta 22.

I have the same problem on my B 311. I have yet to come up with a good solution, as I have a Rocna anchor that doesn't fix, and don't want to exchange it.

Never had a problem, have had a Delta for several seasons. It nests quite well on the bow roller and is easy to deployI also have a Danforth which has not been a problem.

Agree that it could extend out farther out or a stainless plate on the bow would help. I've never damaged mine, but I'm also very careful between the time my Danforth clears the water and is fully stowed.
