I have a 1987 Hunter 28.5. One of the four bolts that connect the S.S. bow rail through the gunnel is missing. Looking under the gunnel at the three that are in place I see threads and a nut. In other words there is a threaded bolt apparently attached to the rail that extends beyond the rail through the gunnel so that a nut can be attached below. My question is how is the bolt attached to the S.S. rail? Is this simply a threaded rod that screws into the end of the rail?
