I just purchased my first sailboat, an absolutely spotless '76 Oday 25. The boat does not have a bow rail so I'm looking for a bow rail, or sources for one. I'm also interested in roller furling. There seems to be a number of systems and brands available and if anyone has a recommendation or experience with buying and installing these systems I'd appreciate a heads up.

Used to be an option

Welcome to the club! As weird as it may seem, bow and especially stern pulpits were an option back then. You can check D&R Marine to see if they have any pulpits, but I seem to remember that they do not sell that type of item. If you don't know, Rudy at D&R used to work for Oday, bought a lot of their molds (for hulls and parts) and is "the" source for Oday parts and info. His website it drmarine.com. If Rudy doesn't have it, you will have to have one custom made.

Furling option

The best price I can find on a roller furler is here. I haven't bought one for my O'Day 25 . I have no idea where to get an original bow rail.
