I would like to add a bow pulpit, One stantion on each side and one lifeline to termiate leading down to the toe rail after the stantions. I will then weave some lines from the lifeline down to the toe rail so that I can capture the jib on deck when I lower it from the cockpit after leading the halyard back to the cock pit, of course. Will I have to have the pulpit custom made, or are there standard ones that will fit? Any other suggestions as to how to contain the jib without going forward?

Consider roller furling

If all you want the bow pulpit for is to contain the jib, you may want to consider a roller furled jib. Then you don't have to do anything but sit in the cockpit and pull on either the jib sheets or the roller furler line. My H23 has a Harken roller furler that works great. Just point into the wind, un-roll the sail. At the end of the day, point back into the wind and wind it in. Good luck.
