Hi All, I have been working on the boat trying to get ready for spring. I was looking at putting on a set of fender holders that go on the bow. Has anybody done this? I was looking at it and I didn't think it would interfear with the sail but thought I would ask. Thanks, Rob Morton S/V Euphoria

What size fenders?
Mine aren't to big and I usually just keep them in the anchor locker or something, outta sight, outta mind. It holds 3 plus the anchor, plus about 200 feet of rope and the chain.

The size of the fenders
are 6". I keep them in the aft locker but want to gain more room under there for when we are out overnight. when we are gone I usually store the inflatable dingy. Thanks, Rob Morton S/V Euphoria

I have some
Rob I have a set I am going to sell. I was going to put them on EBAY this week I got a larger boat and thus bigger bumbers. If you are interested let me know. There are two and each one hodls two bumpers. They are stainless tubeing not the thin wire ones. Keith

More info on the bumper holders any photo's try selling them here on the hunter for sale forum,I did use large mesh bumper holders that hang on the life lines along any part of the boat.

on the bow?
There's a reason you don't see people hanging stuff off the pulpit. On any tack when the wind is up and you start getting waves over the bow, the water will rip the fenders, fender holder and maybe even the pulpit off the boat.

Hi Keith, I am interested, email me at rob_laurie@mortoncontracting.com. Where did you mount those on the boat? Don mentioned waves coming over the bow, we do mostly protected water sailing but I suppose you could put them on the first stantion back. Thanks, Rob Morton S/V Euphoria
