How is the best way to tighten bow cleat when nut has come off bolt inside the hull?

Larry;

Contact me via forum email and give me your phone and location so I am not calling early or late. Also give me a time to call. You will have to work with me as I am going out of state to a funeral. I introduced the 270 for Hunter as a dealer and sold a fair amout. I just want to make sure it is the 270, so include hull number. It is a 260 hull with a wing keel vs. water ballast.

Thanks Crazy Dave and it is a 260 hull and I do not have hull number with me at home since boat at lake. I will get that for you and thanks so much for any assistance you might provide. I thought it would be so simple to replace or tighten a couple bolts/nuts but can't get to nuts. Bought boat new in 2001 from St. Louis Sailing Center. Thanks again. Larry

It could be the bolts go into a aluminum plate that was drilled and tapped for the bolt which may be loose and or needs silicon. Will not know unless you remove the forward v berth cover which is screwed in place but it is tight to pull out but once you do, you will be able to see if the bolts were held in place by nuts with washers.

The aluminum plate would be encapsulated in the fiberglass. You will have to figure out. You will not need to advise hull as I was trying to determine which 27 to be on the safe side but you answered that sir when you advised 260 hull
