Bow anchor roller

It appears that my bow anchor roller is missing the roller. There is a rod connecting the two sides, which appears to be non-removable. There is no roller. Can one be added, or must I replace the entire structure. Which would be a real pain, as the roller furling is attached to this as well. Thanks.

Lets start with the premise that nothing is non-removable. With out looking at your anchor roller set up why can't you remove the rod (cut and drill out if needed)and replace it with a stainless nut and bolt or pin. It may not be as pretty as the original but it will work and save you a grand! Be sure to double nut a bolt if you use this idea maybe use a acorn nut for second nut to improve looks.

I agree, cut the pin, install a SS screw and nut. A variety of rollers can be found in most marine catalogs. I've seen as small as 1" dia., just shop around. If you can't find one, any good machine shop can turn one but the cost might be high. tom
