Bought the 28. Thanks for the feedback. This boat does not have a bimini and will need one. Any suggestions on where to go for a bimini? One responder said to work with a local canvas maker. I can do this but where do I get hardware and materials and plans" I have heard that some of the off the shelf biminis are placed in a manner that will preclude using my winches. Any ideas or advice.

We purchased ours through the Anchorage in Lyons Colorado at 303.823.6601 Found that most of the Hunter biminis were made by a company out of Florida and they had the same price as did Anchorage.

Bimini for Hunter 28

We had a local guy build ours. It covers the whole cockpit and over the comanion way also. The tubing is arrange as to not interfere with winches or anything else. It is divided in two. There is a zipper in the middle so we can use the aft section above the wheel or the forward section alone if desired. And there is a window above the wheel. The bimini was a great addition to make the hot summer days much more enjoyable. You will like your 28.
