Bottomsiders and Dogs

I'm looking at buying Bottomsiders for the cockpit of my Hunter 29.5. I have two 70 pound canines that are part of our crew and am curious if anybody has experience with the durability of the Bottomsiders product with large dogs. Thanks for your input!

We have them and we have a medium sized dog (30 pounds or so) and they hold up. Not sure about a 70 pounder.

I'd make some washable slip covers for the cushions that can be removed easily when not needed. When they wear out...... make some more.

Have had ours for about 4 years and they can take a licking. From a weight standpoint shouldnt be a problem. Might wanna do a toenail check though.

We had them for our previous boat and it was not a problem. One of the really great things 'bout the bottom siders is that they can be repaired with the vinyl paint that they can provide. We had a mouse eat a hole in the end of one of our cushions. BS sent a bottle of the paint and we patched up the hole.

we have 2 dogs - a 65 and 45 pounder. our C Cushions (very similar) hold up great. In the rare case you tear one, its likely your fault and not the dog's. They sell a repair kit which is I think liquid latex and its an easy fix. (accidently dropped the winch handle).
