My girl is up on display for the first time since May 2007 for a new bottomkote. Amazingly in good shape considering the length of time and noting there is barely a trace of the old paint left. I was really relieved that the rudder is showing no blistering or delamination at all. I'm going to have the sides buffed and waxed while she's in the beauty parlor. I took a bunch of pictures yesterday since a lot of people keep asking reference questions as to what and where thru-hulls are, look like, how many, etc, prop and shaft and rudder placement. I tried to take pics of everything normally underwater that people keep asking about and put in an album and even put a 2 min walk-a-round-video on YouTube under my boats name if that's any help to anybody. Should be painted by next Saturday, launched the following Saturday, if all goes as planned.

Don't forget to paint under the trailer rollers before she goes back in! My boat had some nice big barnacle growth from where the P.O. forgot to touch up. Barnacles apparently don't miss an inch. p.s. If U have an inboard, I sure wish I had repacked my shaft seal before I put her back in the water - its a lot easier to serrvice the thru hulls & shaft while on the hard!

Oh, the work is being done by pros, my wife forbade me to ever do another bottomjob. and yes, I will be checking the entire hull before she is relaunched, paint will be Interlux Blue. We are actually going to use my shaft for shaft school when I repack the seal, including a videotaping for a local club. Several people who are wanting to repack their stuffing boxes are going to come out and watch myself and someone from the boatyard put in new flax, we were really surprised how many people showed interest when we made the offer.
